Cindy Weimer

Cindy knew her passion was creating art and making people smile. In high school she was President of the Art Club and in college majored in Graphic Design at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale. In order to understand the full process of “design to print”, she took courses at Mid Florida Tech in Commercial Art and Printing. While in school, she worked as a freelance artist and designed logos and business cards for numerous businesses, including Orlando’s Orange County K-9 Unit. She also created custom signs, and took a side job painting animals using colored dyes on leather goods for an independent company supplying Sea World. For a while she pursued other avenues which allowed her to travel the US for various corporations. But her true passion was always art, and a family trip to Europe and seeing the Statue of David, ignited her desire to sculpt. Upon her father’s passing and the realization of just how short life is, she decided to pursue her dream. As fate would have it, she took her first clay hand building class at the Artists’ Workshop, and began making sea-life sculptures for herself and whimsical sculptures for her grandkids. She set up a studio in her home and remained involved with the Artists Workshop assisting with clay studio operations and teaching clay classes. With 3D art as her passion, she will strive to share her knowledge and encourage students to create to their own unique works of art.
