Beginning to advanced students ages 8-13 will learn various techniques and styles of ceramics.
Have fun learning Pinch Pots, Slab Art and Build a Box. Opportunity to "throw" clay ages 10-13 only. |

Meet your instructors
Susie Means
Susie attended John Herron Art School in Indianapolis. She worked in her home studio for 14 years and loves the visceral creative process. She is experienced with low and mid fire glazing and all the stages and properties of clay. |
Stephanie Kelly
Stephanie grew up in a small town in New Jersey. As far back as she can remember she was always drawing or being creative/crafty in some way. She attended college in New Jersey and Pennsylvania graduating with a major in Elementary Education and a minor in Fine Arts. She always knew her love and passion for Art needed to be apart of her life as a career. She has over 15 years experience in Public, Montessori, Private and Homeschool teaching environments. She has taught all subjects K-5, including Art. Stephanie has a love for all types Art not just painting and drawing; she makes soap, loves to garden, and creates jewelry using fused glass. She is always up for the challenge when an artistic project is presented to her. Alongside running her own small business she is a mother to three amazing children and the Administrative Assistant at AWI. Stephanie is very professional, approachable, happy and teaches in a constructive and courteous way for all students on all levels. |
