About Alaia

Alaia Luna is, quite literally, the product of an “Art Kit.” The daughter of parents Art and Kit—a yogi/dentist and a professional artist—Alaia was raised at the intersection of disciplined wellness and creative expression. A native of New Smyrna Beach, her musical journey began at age two, capturing her first original songs on a handheld tape recorder and growing up within the local creative ecosystem of the Atlantic Center for the Arts.

Her evolution as a performer led her to the world-renowned Berklee College of Music and Naropa University, where she bridged the gap between formal musicality and the healing arts. Today, Alaia utilizes her studio at The Hub on Canal to offer the community more than just a performance; she offers a healthier, happier collective through the power of sound. Having memorized musicals before she could even talk, she remains a dedicated student of the arts, committed to the same downtown NSB streets that first inspired her voice.

Artist Statement

“I’ve always felt this little ball of love inside of me that I want to share with others—with music, it seems to all fall into place.”

For Alaia Luna, music is the native language of the heart. Her work is centered on the belief that the arts are essential healing tools for our daily lives. Drawing from a diverse background that spans piano, voice, and theater, Alaia creates music that serves as a bridge to wellness and a more vibrant self-esteem.

Her philosophy is rooted in the “healing tool” approach to creativity—an intention honed during her studies at Naropa and Berklee. By inviting the community into her creative process at The Hub on Canal, she seeks to share that “ball of love” with the collective, ensuring that the arts remain approachable, inviting, and transformative for everyone she meets.
