13th Annual Plein Air Paint Out

With a goal of raising valuable funds for two local nonprofits, the NSB Paint Out brings to light the important work Marine Discovery Center and Artists Workshop NSB. Through immersive educational programs, a variety of community engagement opportunities, and a shared eco-art summer camp program, MDC and AWI inspire individuals of all ages to take action in protecting Florida’s coastal and Indian River Lagoon ecosystems.

This year’s event will once again offer daily art demonstrations throughout New Smyrna Beach and on the MDC/AWI campus. The Collector’s Reception and Live Auction which offer our Sponsors and Patrons exclusive access to 21 pieces of art only available at this event. The Grand Finale will feature “Blending of the Brushes” and will include music, food and of course your last option to purchase art that was created throughout the week. Both events will be held on the MDC / AWI campus under the pavilion.  Come enjoy this week filled with Discovering Nature through Art!

This five day event requires many people to make it a success. If you have volunteered in the past or would like to get involved this year, please review the attached list of volunteer positions available. Reply to Wendy@marinediscoverycenter.org with the date, time and positions you are interested in. Please feel free to volunteer as much as you’d like. We will do our best to accommodate all requests. Once the schedule is complete, I will send out an email to confirm your volunteer schedule. Please look for this in mid-September with any updates as the event draws closer.

I’ve also attached a list of job descriptions to explain the not so obvious positions.  Volunteers like you make this event possible!!!  We greatly appreciate your consideration.  If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know as many positions can be flexible. Please know we may add some unforeseen positions as our planning progresses.

Thank you,
