Clay – Additive/Subtractive & Slab Relief Workshop

Dates – Mon to Fri 7/7/25 to 7/11/25

Time – 1:00 to 5:00 pm

This class is for the beginner ceramicist, but the more experienced artist may find this class appealing. Class begins with the Additive/Subtractive Method for creating sculpture in the round. By day 3, students will begin Slab Relief Technique. Students need to bring 3 or 4 possible ideas (pictures, drawings, etc.) for sculpture in the round as well as ideas for slab relief sculpture. Students will also need to supply an apron and two large plastic trash bags.

Linda Bobinger

Linda Bobinger taught art in the Georgia public school system 31 years. Linda has a Masters in Art education and a Masters in Fine Arts focusing on ceramics from Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Georgia. After retiring she moved to Darien, Georgia where she continues to focus on sculpture.

She participates in art festivals in the Atlanta area, shows in various art galleries; 4 Corners in South Carolina, Scott and Sons Gallery and Frame Shop, is member of the Coastal Art Alliance of Georgia.

She recently completed a series of one-woman shows at Glynn Visual Arts – Saint Simons Island, Georgia, Jekyll Island Art Association at Goodyear Cottage – Jekyll Island, Georgia, SoGlo Gallery – Brunswick, Georgia. Most recently featured in Acline Gallery at ArtFields in Lake City, South Carolina.
