Watercolor Paint (one tube each color)

Good brands to buy are American Journey, Da Vinci (best value), Holbein, Winsor Newton tubes (not pans or liquid). You will need 1 tube each of the following colors:

Aureolin

Yellow Ochre

Quinacridone Gold (Winsor Newton or DaVinci)

Permanent Rose or Red Rose Deep

Opera (Holbein) or Opus (DaVinci)

Peach Black (Holbein)

Cerulean Blue

Cobalt Blue

Ultramarine Blue

Thalo Blue (any shade)

Quinacridone Burnt Orange (Da Vinci)

Titanium Casein White (Shiva)

Brushes

Loew Cornell is the recommended brand. Their Gold Taklon bristles and the black handles with the red stripe around it are preferred.

#8 round – 7020 or 7000 series

#12 round – 7020 series

#26 round – 7020 series

1” flat or 1” angular flat – 7400 series

Paper

22 x 30” Richeson Premium 140 lb Cold Press or Arches 140 lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper (These will be torn into quarter and half sheets. You will need at least 10 of each.)

Covered watercolor palette (I recommend John Pike)

Small sketchpad

3B graphite drawing pencil

Board support – either Gatorboard or Plexiglas
