How often have you stood in front of the vast array of tubes and jars of acrylics or went past the shelves of papers with its variety of marvelous textures and colors, wondering what exactly you can do with it? And if you buy it, would you like it or even get the desired effect?
This is where the GOLDEN opportunity awaits! Golden Acrylics is offering a whole day of exploration on their paints and papers on Sunday, Dec 3.
The day starts with a FREE lecture demonstration at 9:30am and concludes at 11:30. A Golden certified working artist K.D. Tobin will show a wide variety of topics and products of their many paint lines, along with how to use them on their many textured surfaces. You will get lots of great ideas for mixed media or just how to use their products. Each attendee will receive an information pack and free samples!
It's recommended that you stay for lunch with your brown bag, so you can socialize with the other attending artists and the instructor.
Starting at 12:30pm, K.D. Tobin is offering a PAID workshop called "Seductive Surfaces for Painting and Collage", where you yourself can try out ALL the techniques, materials and paints he just demonstrated in the morning. The $50 fee is covering all materials - all you need to bring is your own brushes, palette knives, a container for water, paper towels, and any drawing tools you like to use, such as pencils, graphite, pastel, etc. You will explore hands-on the many new products that Golden has in the stores, without having to buy whole tubes or pads, only to discover that you have no idea how to use it. K.D. will show us many new possibilities! The workshop will end at 4:30pm with a dead brain but many, many new and awesome ideas!
Here is what you need to do to reserve your spot
The Artists Workshop needs to know which part of this exciting day you will attend. There is a sign-up board in Studio B, but the paid workshop needs a definite commitment.
Please reply to this email or to Carole Ryan at firstname.lastname@example.org or call her at (386) 409-8430 to sign up. We need to know how many artists to expect for the free morning, and we also need a committed sign-up for the paid afternoon (paying in full or getting a deposit to Carole Ryan asap). You do not have to attend both morning and afternoon.
Looking forward to a great exciting day of paper, paints and party!
