Application of Paint on Yupo

Carol Ann Sherman has always found a fascination with the interplay of time and color. She sees life as one major work of art full of whimsy and lush color. the class will give the painter a more secure grasp of how to control the application of paint on yupo. Yupo doesn't allow paint to be absorbed into the paper, therefore the pigment remains vivid and slippery when wet.

Color Emphasis - Acrylic Collage

Carrie Burns Brown says, "The surface treatment of texture and design best describe my work, then color which is very important to help create unity and vitality. The workshop will focus on color and design using fluid acrylic paint as a multi-layered, transparent/ opaque water medium with collage and the interaction of collage with acrylic paint. There will be an introduction to collage transfers and collage techniques.

Louise Lachance Legault's work captures moments of time and space through the use of line, color, shape, texture and design. A workshop stressing bold composition and strong design based on the human figure for inspiration. Each day will have a new aspect: shape, light, texture, linkage space, etc. Will explore abstraction, the process and concentrate on composing the entire work of art in mixed media. Live model provided.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

Plan ahead and mail your application early, as your acceptance is based on the date of the postmark.

Since some of our instructors come a long distance, (by plane) we need to close registration six
weeks prior to the start of the workshop

We have a minimum number of students needed to run each class. If we do not have that number of
students registered, six weeks prior to the start of class, it will be cancelled. This is because we will
not be able to meet out expenses,

Written notice of cancellations will be accepted up to three weeks prior to the start of the workshop
with a refund, less $25.00 handling fee. There will be NO refund after that time, unless a replacement
 is found.

Supply lists will be sent out as soon as the instructors forward them to the workshop.
